The previous day the annual Republican professional competition among power grids operation and maintenance personnel hold in Almaty Region was completed, where the team of Karagandy Zharyk Company has once again proved their skill and professionalism, entered the top three, and won the second place. The competition took place during the period from 12th to 16th of September 2016 at the training facility of Karasai RES. Traditionally, the competition brought together the best of the best specialists – the staff of the largest energy companies from different regions of the country. A total of 9 teams from across the country participated there. Uninterrupted power supply to consumers is the main task of power engineers. Quick restoration of wires breakage, replacement of towers and broken down transformer equipment are all obligations placed on the operation and maintenance groups of wiremen.

It was necessary to successfully overcome 7 stages of the competition. The theory was checked on the first stage – competitors were tested for the knowledge of safety rules, operating rules. On the next stage it was necessary to provide first aid to the person who got an electric shock. Well-honed actions and skills had to be demonstrated during practical stages: replacement of the wire on the overhead line with voltage of 0.4 kV and 10 kV, electric pylons, connection, disconnection of high voltage power lines, transformer fire extinguishing. The main requirement was the knowledge of safety rules. The team of Karagandy Zharyk won an honorable 2nd place and received one of the main prizes – Niva Car. Arman Aitzhanov, Konstantin Kim, Dastan Zheksenbayev, Yuri Cherchenko, Nickolay Komsulev, Zhanat Seitov, Konstantin Osipov, Dmitry Smerdov from Karagandy Zharyk were participating in the name of their company.
