In honour of the professional holiday at all production facilities of KUS Group – in Karaganda and South Kazakhstan regions – ceremonial events were held, during which domestic power engineers were awarded corporate prizes. And for the fifty of our colleagues this day was special, in their professional holiday they became Honored Power Engineers and Honourable Power Engineers of Kazakhstan Electricity Association and Honored Power Engineers of the CIS, and received Certificates of Merit of KEA and the CIS. In addition, employees of KUS Group were presented with memorable gifts.    

Gennady Shatsky, the turbine service shift supervisor of Karaganda CHPP-3, who has been working at the plant for 38 years, has received the title of Honored Power Engineer of Kazakhstan Electricity Association. As he noted in his speech, “There are no laymen at the power station, because the work at the station is not only a great responsibility, but also a hard physical labour, you have to execute commands, turn, open the valves and so on. I would describe the work of the power engineer as quickness and deliberation. In our work, the main thing is to react to all working situations promptly and do everything to provide the city with light and heat in an uninterrupted mode. I think we need to be proud of that we are working on a power station. I am in the power industry for almost 40 years, and all these years I have been working at Karaganda CHPP-3. Today it is important for me to realize that my effort and experience were duly appreciated”.

Ceremonial events were also held in South Kazakhstan Region, in the presence region of KUS group. 25 people from Energopotok LLP were given well-deserved honours. For example, Kabylbek Kutumbekov is in power industry for over 20 years. Now he is working as an engineer of the Contract Department of this enterprise. He has received the title of “Honored Power Engineer. Kazakhstan Electricity Association”. As Kabylbek Kutumbekov told to his colleagues, he worked in different structures of power industry. There were many interesting and difficult moments over these years. However, he has never regret that he became a power engineer. During his working life, he has brought up many students. All of them are working successfully now. He believes that the power industry of Kazakhstan will continue to develop.

In addition, in honour of the Power Engineers' Day employees of KUS Group were presented with Letters of thanks from the regional akimats and maslikhats.
