The 25th year of independent Kazakhstan is ending. Traditionally, on the occasion of anniversaries, the results of what has been achieved are summed up and plans for the future are determined. If we talk about our Karaganda energy enterprises, it should be noted that there is a tendency to increase the pace of development and restoration of production and the entire economy.

Our main energy sources – Karaganda CHPP-1 and Karaganda CHPP-3 – operate as part of Karaganda Energy Center LLP. With the commissioning of the 8th power boiler and the 6th turbine at Karaganda CHPP-3 in 2016, the installed capacity of the station reached 670 MW for electricity and 1464 Gcal/hour for thermal energy, and it became the largest thermal station in Kazakhstan.

As representatives of the Karaganda Energy Center company assured, the equipment of the CHPP-1 and CHPP-3 stations is ready for any weather tests. Including a significant decrease in outside air temperature.

Residents of the Karaganda region are no strangers to sudden changes in weather. Autumn coolness can instantly give way to truly winter frosts. So this year, the heavenly office did not wait for the official start of winter. Mid-November turned out to be abnormally frosty, but the beginning of December, on the contrary, surprised us with above-zero temperatures and heavy rain. Nature presents its surprises, but such changeable weather is not news at all for utility workers.

In a matter of days, domestic power engineers will celebrate their professional holiday. As you know, this date falls on the third Sunday of December. Today it can be confidently called one of the main holidays of the year, since energy is a fundamental industry that gives impetus to the development of the entire economy of the country. Not a single industrial enterprise, plant or factory can operate without electricity and heat, not to mention social facilities and residential buildings.

From September 13 to 18, the southern capital hosted the next republican professional competition for power engineers of regional power grid companies. One of the best, taking an honorable second place, was the team of the company “Karagandy Zharyk” LLP.

As noted by the head of the team of Karaganda power engineers, the head of the Bukharzhyrau district of electrical networks, Konstantin Kim, the goal of the competition is to improve the qualifications of personnel, the level of operation and reduce injuries when servicing electrical networks, demonstrating modern methods of performing work, as well as sharing experience.

Before the start of the new heating season, representatives of Karaganda Energy Center LLP assured that this year’s repair work at CHPP-1 and CHPP-3, according to plan, will be completed on time. At the same time, coal reserves at both stations of the energy producing company exceed the usual norm.

The head of the repair service of Karaganda Energy Center LLP Mukhtar Suleimenov spoke about the progress of this year’s repair campaign to prepare CHPP-3 and CHPP-1 for the new heating season. At the same time, the speaker emphasized that the company gives priority attention to the modernization of production:

For the modernization and replacement of the electrical networks of Kentau and Turkestan, as well as for the construction of a new line, which begins at the entrance to Turkestan and, going around the mausoleum of Kh.A. Yassaui, stretches across the entire city, 1 billion 300 million tenge have been allocated. Thanks to this modernization, residents of Kentau will have uninterrupted access to high-quality electricity.

As for Turkestan, the replacement of electrical networks will be carried out in the villages of Old Ikan and Otyrar. In addition, the L29A electric highway will also be updated. This line was built in 1956. There was no practice at that time to install concrete supports, so wooden poles were used. Now they will be completely changed. The length of the power line is 10.5 km. In total, installers will have to install 83 new concrete power transmission poles.
