On December 24, the ceremonial launch of the new substation “Yuzhnaya” PS-110/10 kV took place in the “Warm Beach” area of ​​Aktau. The opening of the power facility is timed to coincide with the Day of the Power Engineer of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 55th anniversary of JSC Mangistau Regional Electric Grid Company. The construction of the Yuzhnaya substation PS-110/10 kV with 2x25 MVA transformers was carried out in order to develop tourism in the Mangistau region and within the framework of the signed memorandum between MREK JSC and the regional akimat.

This year, the Mangistau Regional Electric Grid Company JSC, which is the largest energy distribution enterprise providing transportation of electrical energy to consumers in the Mangistau region, celebrates its 55th anniversary.

In honor of the 55th anniversary of the enterprise and Energy Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the head of the region, Nurlan Nogaev, visited MREK JSC. The head of the region, Nurlan Nogaev, got acquainted with the activities of the enterprise and visited the regional dispatch center. The RDC provides operational dispatch personnel with calculation and analytical support, thereby increasing the quality and efficiency of decision-making on the management of electrical networks of MREK JSC while preventing possible technological violations and emergency situations.

As a result of a 2-stage competition within the framework of privatization and completion of the transaction, Kazakhstan Utility Systems LLP together with KBI Energy LLP became the holders of a controlling stake in Mangistau Electric Distribution Grid Company JSC.

On October 19, 2017, the international rating agency Fitch Ratings confirmed Kazakhstan Utility Systems LLP's long-term issuer default rating in foreign currency at the level of "BB-", outlook "Stable"
